One of the most important parts of any funeral is the bit that you don’t always get to see. It’s the love and care that happens in the background, when you can’t be there. Everyone has the right to expect their funeral, however elaborate or simple their wishes, to be carried out with the utmost care, respect, and dignity.
We’re here for you 24/7. Whether you’re planning ahead or need immediate assistance, our team is ready to help.
Having attended Barnard Castle School, I went on to study Building Surveying at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, before joining the family business in 1997, following in the footsteps of my father, Peter, and grandfather, Raymond.
I am extremely proud to be able to continue the firm for another generation. At Seaton Leng, we pride ourselves on the service that we provide, and the way that we do it, blending traditional values with modern day progress.
I live in Darlington with my wife, Sarah, and our two children, Isaac and Malachi, all of whom work in the family firm. I am a keen squash player, enjoy reading, but most of all love spending time with our three dogs (which, by the way, is far too many!).
I have been working in the funeral industry for 12 years, and have been employed with Seaton Leng since 2014. After learning the various aspects of the funeral trade through my work as an assistant to the team here at Seaton Leng – I was subsequently promoted to funeral director in 2018. I have always considered it an enormous honour to be entrusted with looking after families here.
I commute from Barnard Castle, where I live with my wife and son. I love keeping myself busy learning new skills and am currently trying my hand at leatherworking, French, and allotment keeping.
I’ve recently completed a degree with the Open University in Art and Classical History, and am currently looking at pursuing an MA.
I started working in the funeral industry twenty years ago and have been a funeral director here at Seaton Leng since November 2008. I am an everyday family man, living in Newton Aycliffe with my partner and children.
I have a huge passion for football, whether that be Liverpool FC, or my very own Heighington FC, where over the years I have dedicated my time to coaching and managing both the Youth Teams and more latterly the Adult Teams. This enthusiasm has led to me recently stepping into the shoes of Club Chairman! I thoroughly enjoy my work life, my family life and my hobbies and look forward to the future working with my Seaton Leng colleagues.
I have had the privilege of working in the Funeral Industry for 11 years. Looking after families from all over the North East.
I’m very community focused, becoming a Freeman to the Company of Mercers, Grocers and Haberdashers in 2014, a Freeman to the Company of Fellmongers in 2018, a member of Lennox Lodge 123 in 2018 and most recently a Town Councillor for Richmond where I live .
I am also a keen golfer at Richmond Golf Club, with a handicap of 8, and sit on the Board of Directors at the club, but my greatest achievement is my family; I am married to Sherrie with two amazing children, Emy-Dee and Jooles and granddaughter Cienna-Rose.
I was born and raised in Darlington, and joined the family business in 1996, working in the admin side of Seaton Leng as well as helping to care for bereaved families.
I now live in School Aycliffe with my partner, Stuart and daughter, Katie; along with Margo, our PBGV (that's a dog!). I love the countryside and enjoy going for long dog walks, and am a fitness enthusiast so you’ll find me in the gym most nights. I’m also a real people person so any other time I’m free, I’ll be with friends or family.
I spent my early life in Cambridge, but moved up to Newcastle for university, which is where I met James and the North East became home!
I joined the family firm in 2003 to work alongside Sally undertaking all things admin, but my favourite part of the job is definitely looking after our families.
James and I live in Darlington with our two boys, Isaac and Malachi, as well as our three dogs - all of which keep me busy! I’m a keen(ish) runner, and enjoy hanging out with friends and volunteering within my Parish of St. Augustine’s. Following a recent holiday to Rome to celebrate a milestone birthday, I have reignited my travel bug!
I’ve worked on reception at Seaton Leng since 2013, meeting families and answering phone calls.
I live in Newton Aycliffe with my husband Paul and dog Riley. I’ve two grown-up daughters, Joanna and Emma, and an amazing little grandson Leo who I adore.
Outside of work I like going to gigs and music festivals, my favourite being the Isle of Wight festival as I love the island. My weekends are spent dog walking on the beach, cooking, and drinking red wine.
I’ve been working with Seaton Leng since 2010. Amongst other things, my work includes making sure our fleet and workshop is looked after, as well as driving and pallbearing on funerals.
I commute into Darlington from Newton Aycliffe, where I live with my wife Sandra. I’m a VW fan, and have kitted out a T5 Transporter for camping so that I can attend car meets around the UK.
I have been employed with Seaton Leng since 2021 but have been working in the industry for over a decade, gaining my qualification with the B.I.E. in 2019.
I live in Long Newton with my husband and three children. I love a bit of family time, be it getting away on holidays together or going to see bands. My colleagues will tell you my music taste is all over the place; one minute I’ve got classical on, the next gangster rap.
